Hi Zanny24, I wouldn't be able to receive that satellite from North America. However, Sic International is also available at NSS 806 (40 degrees West), this I know I can catch. I've searched the net for the ECM PID and PMT PID for this channel but can't find it. Do you know where I can find this info? By the way, which satellites do you receive from London?

    Regards

Hi sextacy. If you look at website KINGOFSAT it will give you details of all satellite channels. In London with a 1 metre motorized dish i can pick up the following satellites: HISPASAT- 30 WEST, ATLANTIC BIRD 12.5 WEST, TELECOM 2D 8 WEST, ATLANTIC BIRD 3 -5 WEST, THOR 2/3 - 1 WEST, SIRIUS 2/3 - 4.8 EAST, EUTELSAT W3A - 7 EAST, EUROBIRD 9 - 9 EAST, EUTELSAT W1 - 10 EAST, HOTBIRD 13 EAST, EUTELSAT W2 - 16 EAST, ASTRA 1 - 19 EAST, ASTRA 1D3A - 23 EAST, FREESAT - 28 EAST, EUTELSAT SE W4 - 36 EAST, HELLASAT 39 EAST, TURKSAT 42 EAST , and INTELSAT 12 at 45 EAST. Let us know how you get on with SIC INTERNATIONAL. Regards.

    Hi Zanny24,

thanks for the website you provided me with. That's a really cool site with lots of information, it will definitely come in handy. I'm pretty new with biss keys, so I've been reading a lot on how it works and how to decrypt them. I've noticed that a lot of European channels use the biss encryption. Decrypting biss channels is pretty simple, not nearly as challenging as a carded solution to decrypt channels as was the case for Nagra 2. Wow, you're able to catch a variety of satellites from London. I wish I could receive those satellites from here, but not a chance. When I go back to Europe I will definitely install a satellite dish. What's the difference between using a softcam file to decrypt a channel or manually entering the keys? Other than simplicity, are there other benefits?

    Regards

Hi sextacy. Good news for you regarding that website. I think that using the softcam option is easier because it eliminates any errors when entering them manually. i prefer to enter them manually , its more fun. Regards.

Hi Zanny24, I've spent the last couple of days customizing my lnb bracket to fit 2 lnbs instead of one, on my c-band dish. One lnb is for the linear polarities while the other one is for circular polarites. I'm just fine tuning it a little bit more to get the strongest signal possible. Have you been trying to find intelsat 805? By the way, is it possible to decrypt irdeto encrypted channels?

    Regards.

Hi Sextacy. How are you? No i dont think i will be able to get that satellite in London. I tried looking for it but not a sign of it. It may be because its in C band and my LNB dont pick it up. Are you able to pick up the satellite at 16 EAST because there is a channel SIC INTERNATIONAL ( i think its in Portugeese) there. Look at Kingofsat for details. Take care.

Hi Zanny! Unfortunately, I'm not able to receive the satellite @ 16 East. The furthest I go is 40 degrees west (NSS 806). I purposely installed a second lnb for Sic International found on NSS 806. It was a two week project to make a custom lnb bracket to attach a second lnb, and then to find the satellite. Unfortunately, the biss keys on the net for this channel don't work. It makes me feel like I invested my time for nothing. Do you know how to find a biss key yourself? I read a lot of posts about people uploading a ts file to extract the biss keys. How exactly does that work?

    Take care, Zanny!

Hi Sextacy. Sorry to hear about you having problems with this channel. Have you looked in this forum for help regarding BISS keys? I am sure there must be some expert who may be able to help you. I do find it strange that this channel on 16 EAST is FTA and on your satellite it is scrambled. Regarding your second LNB i thought it would have been better for you to motorize your dish. This all depends on how many satellites you will be able to pick up in your part of the world. Maybe you have a reason for not motorizing your dish. Remember before buying a motor do a bit of homework ie will it give you more satellites and channels, how easy is it to setup etc etc. If you need advice with motor let us know. Regards.

Re: Newbie: Can anyone please help me regarding biss keys?

Hi Zanny, my dish is motorized. The reason I had to install a second lnb is because nss 806 is a circular polarity satellite. Since I use my main lnb for linear polarities, I had to install a second lnb for circular polarities. As for getting the keys for sic international, I've already posted a thread in these forums 2 weeks ago but no one answered. In fact, of all the threads I've posted, you're the only person who has actually replied to any of them. No one else has said anything which is quite odd. Thank you my friend, for trying to help me. Regards.
