please help to patch 5400super usb

can some kind person please explane in simple english how I can patch my receiver, ( i dont have much knowlage with complicated terms, so please make it simple), thanks

Hi. basically what happens is that you copy a file called a patch for your type of receiver, in your case a TM5400 SUPER. The patch is found in this forum in firmware/tools under TECHNOMATE section. You look for the latest patch for your receiver and download it to your pc/laptop. Once downloaded you need to unzip it. You then copy the zipped file to a USB stick inserted in your laptop/pc. When copied you then take out USB stick and insert it into your receiver USB slot. Press green button on your remote, enter pin code ie 0000. From USB menu select DATA TRANSFER - press ok and enter pin number again. From the given file list select the patch that you have copied and press enter. If correct patch the receiver will load it and you will see a green indicator line (it will go from 0 to 100). Do NOT touch the receiver when it is doing the copying. After about a minute the receiver will shut itself down and re-boot. To check that you have loaded the patch press MENU on remote - enter pin number. Tab to option SYSTEM INFORMATION - press ok. Under S/W you will see the patch id ie 149p and the date it was loaded. Whenever you load a new patch the S/W version will change. You can find more help in this forum under TECHNOMATE section.
