TV5Monde LatAm joins new GVT’s Ultimate HD bouquet
Pascale Paoli-Lebailly ©RapidTVNews | 07-11-2011French-speaking international channel TV5Monde Amérique Latine has inked a distribution deal with Brazilian platform GVT to join the new Ultimate HD offer.
The Vivendi-owned platform is currently launching its HD, VOD and interactive pay-TV service that offers 140 channels including 30 HD ones.
Three bouquets are commercialized which are Super HD (26 channels, 5 in HD), Ultra HD (45 channels, 9 in HD) and Ultimate HD (72 channels, 14 in HD).
Available in the Ultimate HD pack, TV5Monde will also be accessible as an option in the two other bouquets.
With this new commercial launch, GVT aims at recruiting 350 000 new subs in Brazil by December of 2012.
The operator also looks to optimize is network based on Fiber and advanced technologies such as VDSL (Very-high-bit-rate Digital Subscriber Line) and FTTH.
In Brazil, TV5Monde Amérique Latine is available to 1.8 million subs and subtitled in Portuguese.
