    Eric Roy: Sacked
    NICE SACK ERIC ROY

Nice have sacked manager Eric Roy after a run of one win in the last seven games left the club lying outside the Ligue 1 relegation zone on goal difference only.
Club president Jean-Pierre Rivere has replaced Roy with his assistant Rene Marsiglia ahead of Saturday's home game with St Etienne.
Rivere has urged the club's players to put in "more work, more rigorously", while telling Marsiglia he will be responsible for "pushing his team to victory".
According to a report in Nice-Matin, Roy - who took over the reins in March 2010 - will become general manager.
The 44-year-old played for the likes of Lyon, Marseille and English Premier League side Sunderland during his playing career, as well as having two spells with Nice from 1988-1992 and 2002-2004.

    Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: Won't be selling
    BAYERN RULE OUT JANUARY SALES

Bayern Munich insist they will not be selling any of their players during the winter transfer window as their squad is "relatively small".
It had been thought that Bayern could be willing to part with some of their fringe first-team players who are growing frustrated at a lack of regular action.

Croatia forward Ivica Olic recently voiced his displeasure while Croat Danijel Pranjic has also been unhappy with his substitute role.
However Bayern, who are competing for three titles, have one of the smallest squads in the league with 24 players including four goalkeepers.
Manager Jupp Heynckes is against parting company with any of his players and chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge concurs, insisting no one will be leaving in the New Year on a permanent transfer.
"We will definitely not sell any player (in the winter)," Rummenigge told the club's official website. "The coach does not want it and I think he is completely right.
"With 20 outfield players we have a relatively small squad so quantity-wise we are at the lower limit. I hope we will still be in all three competitions after the winter break and so we will need a squad that is at least this size."

    Marouane Chamakh: Interests Bordeaux
    BORDEAUX KEEN ON CHAMAKH

Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud has expressed his interest in re-signing Marouane Chamakh from Arsenal.
Triaud claims he has been attempting to contact both the Morocco striker and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, but has been frustrated in his efforts.
"In the last two months I have been leaving messages with Marouane. I also left messages with Arsene Wenger but I got no answer," said Triaud.
"His silence shows probably that he still hopes he will make it at Arsenal."
Chamakh, 27, left Bordeaux in 2010 to join Arsenal after helping the club, where he started his professional career, win the French title in 2009.
He scored seven goals in 29 Premier League appearances last season but has made just one league start so far this term.

    Pep Guardiola: Inter links denied
    INTER DENY GUARDIOLA LINK

Inter Milan have denied speculation they have been in contact with Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola about becoming their new manager.
And president Massimo Moratti insists he has "no idea" where Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is after he too was linked with Inter.
Guardiola has been in Brescia during the international break, meeting with old friends he knew during his time at the Serie B club.
The 40-year-old's future is unclear and reports in Italy suggested Guardiola could become the successor to Claudio Ranieri, who took over in September.
But Inter president Massimo Moratti insists he has not been in touch, saying: "Guardiola? Absolutely not. Some people are asking me about this, but we have not met each other."
Tevez, who is in Argentina amidst ongoing talks between his representatives and Manchester City over his future, is also rumoured to be a target for Inter.
Tevez has not played for Roberto Mancini's side since their Carling Cup win over Birmingham in September after being fined two weeks' wages by City following an incident at the Champions League tie with Bayern Munich.
But Moratti has also denied the link with the 27-year-old, saying: "I honestly don't know where he is, probably in South America."

David Jarolim: Allowed to move on in January
    ARNESEN BACKS OUTGOING JAROLIM

Hamburg's director of sport Frank Arnesen has told David Jarolim that he can leave the club this winter and still return to work in a coaching capacity when he hangs up his boots.
The Czech Republic midfielder appears to be surplus to requirements at present and, despite having a contract which runs until the end of the season, the 32-year-old will be allowed to leave the club in January.
"David Jarolim is a player who has achieved so much for this club and he has told me that he would like to be a coach of a youth team when he ends his career, but that he would like to play one or two years more first," said Arnesen on his club's website.
"Therefore, I told him that, if he would like to move, then we would love to have him back after his playing career to coach one of our youth teams.
"First of all, he would have to talk to the coach to see what role he has in the team.
"He is a role model for young players because even when he has not played so much, he has never complained."
Jarolim joined the northern Germany club in 2003, but due to the lack of opportunities, he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer during the winter break.
He has made a total of 242 appearances for Hamburg having previously played 73 times for Nurnberg.
