ETB to launch HDTV channel
Iñaki Ferreras ©RapidTVNews | 25-11-2011Spanish public regional broadcaster ETB is to launch a HDTV channel on 4 December, thus becoming the first Basque channel to transmit in high definition.
ETB's signal will be in true HDTV HD and not scaled as in the case of Spain's national private broadcasters Grupo Planeta's Antena 3 and Mediaset España's Telecinco.
The move follows in the steps of other regional Spanish broadcasters such as Catalan public broadcaster TV3 and Aragón's public broadcaster Aragón TV.
