Protek 9600ip dead!! Which box to buy now?? Please help me

Hi to all those reading this.
I need some real advice, please:
My Protek 9600IP is now dead and I have only had it 2 months 2nd hand, thanks to their decision to block access to their servers, and I am wondering which box will do the same job i.e. automatically use servers/the internet for files and keys etc to clear channels.
I don't want to buy another ST box and find myself staring at black screens in another months time because the manufacturers want you to buy their newest box and turn off all support.
So which box can take its place please? I have not got hundreds of GBP to spend, hence my need to get it right and have some considerable time viewing cleared channels.
Please help with some good advice. Thank you in advance. V

Maybe it's time to make, like many of us do ?
Don't feed the local maphia, that is killing our hobby !

Buy a real Supported box (Dm, Vu, etc) a card (prices starts at 10€ for some cards), and make your own server !
This is What we all do, well, at least most of us, not the "LAZY" One's !

I have no idea what you mean or how to 'make my own server'. So the only real answer to this suggestion is that I still need to buy a box - not because I'm 'lazy' - but because technically I have no idea what to make - or do- with this suggestion. Sorry.
So: what box could, or should, I buy please?

If you Box is dead, i will say yes !
Before those "Lazy boxes", people Read and Learn, Now people just Pay for a Bunch of "Clever" ones, that are using the weakness from others.

This is my problem - I don't know what 'REAL BOX' I need to get. And I have not got a clue as to how to set up anything like you suggested earlier.
I am a newbie with no-one near to help to physically sort out my STB problems. Hence my cry for help. Sorry to be dumb - I probably am?
I am guessing my dead Protek will not cardshare? If not, which 'real box' does this forum suggest I invest in, please?
