Dean Saunders: Focused on 'improving results'
    SAUNDERS DEFENDS DONNY OVERHAUL

Dean Saunders has defended his squad overhaul at Doncaster, claiming an injection of funds and fresh faces has been beneficial to the club.
Following Saunders' arrival as boss in September, there has been a steady stream of new arrivals at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The likes of El-Hadji Diouf, Pascal Chimbonda, Habib Beye and Herita Ilunga have been drafted in to try and help Doncaster clamber off the foot of the Championship table.
Saunders and agent Willie McKay, who has helped thrash out the deals, have come in for criticism, with some claiming Doncaster are losing their identity.
He said: "All that matters is improving results and I'll do anything to help that aim. Some forget Doncaster hadn't won in the Championship for six months before I arrived. All of a sudden, we've picked up 12 points from 11 games.
"I want to build for the future but before that, we have to find a path out of the bottom three."
He added: "Bringing in loan players whose wages add up to £265,000 a week in return for £20,000 is a good deal.
"El-Hadji is different. He was a free agent."

Adriano Galliani: Only looking at loans
ANY ARRIVALS ONLY ON LOAN - GALLIANI

AC Milan could bring a leading player to the club during the winter transfer window - but only on loan.
The Rossoneri have been linked with Manchester City outcast Carlos Tevez and vice-president Adriano Galliani told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Whoever comes to Milan in January will be on loan for free, with an option to make that stay permanent.
"Tevez? We will see, there's time. Probably if we had not had (Antonio) Cassano's situation, we would remain as we are."
Milan are looking to reinforce their attacking line with Italy striker Cassano ruled out indefinitely after undergoing a heart procedure earlier this month.
Tevez's advisor Kia Joorabchian held talks with AC Milan in Italy last week, but City are understood to only be interested in a direct sale, not a loan, and then only if the price suits them.

Lukas Podolski: Not 'forced' to stay
    PODOLSKI CONSIDERS COLOGNE FUTURE

Germany striker Lukas Podolski has hinted he could leave Cologne at the end of the season in search of European football.
The 26-year-old told Die Welt newspaper he is getting sick of the off-field problems in Cologne and cannot see his ambition of playing in Europe again being realised if he remains where he is.
"I was told the plan was to get back into Europe here, but we have failed and of course I have to ask myself why," he said.
"Whenever I am with the national team, I always notice people shaking their heads when yet another story emerges from Cologne which has nothing to do with sport."
Podolski was born in Cologne and did all he could to move back to the club after several disappointing years with Bayern Munich, where he got his first taste of Champions League and Europa League football.
However, changes of coaches and problems at board level have disrupted the last few seasons and, although Podolski admits his bond with the city is still strong, he says that does not necessarily mean he will spend the rest of his life there.
"My family and friends may live here and I know every corner of the city, but if I am in top condition, then I think I could fit into any side in Europe," he said.
"I am not forced to stay only in Cologne."
Podolski is almost guaranteed of his place in the Germany squad at Euro 2012 next summer, but that is likely to be the only taste of international football on the horizon if he does not leave Cologne in the summer.

Roberto Di Matteo (r): Happy to be at Chelsea
DI MATTEO TO REVIEW ROLE NEXT SUMMER

Roberto Di Matteo insists he has no problems operating as Andre-Villas Boas' assistant, but admits he will review his position with Chelsea at the end of the season.
Di Matteo joined the Chelsea backroom staff this summer following the appointment of Villas-Boas.
The Italian had previously enjoyed two relatively successful stints in management with MK Dons and West Brom, where he won promotion to the Barclays Premier League before being sacked in February.
The 41-year-old, who played at Chelsea for six years, was last weekend forced to deny rumours he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge to return to management after being linked with the hot seat at Portsmouth.
The former Italy midfielder, whose contract at Stamford Bridge runs out next summer, once again played down reports he is unhappy at the west London club on Monday, but conceded he does not know whether he will remain on the Blues coaching staff next season.
He said: "I'm very happy to be here. It's my club. I feel at home and Andre and I have developed a very good working relationship, so it's something we'll discuss maybe at the end of the season."
A 3-0 win over Wolves on Saturday marked the end of a poor series of results that had left questions over Villas-Boas' future at Chelsea.
The Blues made good progress under the 34-year-old at the start of the season, but a run of four defeats in seven games left the club fifth in the league and in danger of not making the Champions League knockout stages for the first time in the Roman Abramovich era.
The Portuguese's inexperience - this is only his second full year in club management - has left doubts about his potential to lead the Londoners to silverware, but Di Matteo insists the former Porto boss is the man to lead Chelsea to glory.
"He's very well-prepared and mature for his young age," said Di Matteo, who took his first management job at 38.
"He knows he has a very wide knowledge of the Premier League and football in general.
"There is a lot of focus on his age, but he's a very ambitious and talented manager and he knows his stuff."
Chelsea have a chance to build on the victory over Wolves on Tuesday when they face Liverpool in the Carling Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge.
Despite fielding relatively youthful sides in the wins over Fulham and Everton earlier in the competition, the Carling Cup holds a special place in the hearts of Chelsea and of Di Matteo in particular.
Di Matteo scored the winning goal in the League Cup final at Wembley in 1998, and seven years later the Blues won the competition again in what was to be the first of six trophies won under Jose Mourinho.
Despite accusations the tournament has been devalued in recent years, Di Matteo thinks lifting the cup in February's final could have a huge impact on the Blues' push for silverware in other competitions, and on Villas-Boas' chances of keeping his job.
"(In 1998) it gave the team a real belief, a momentum," Di Matteo said.
"Then and now are two different situations, but it gave that team a good, positive effect to go on and win the Cup Winners' Cup and finish the season well.
"This year we've looked at it as a trophy for us to win.
"It's a chance to win a cup. It can give a very positive momentum if you win a trophy in that part of the season.
"It's the first one we can win and we are still in all the competitions, so we have a chance to win them all.
"In terms of the manager, winning a trophy is always very important."
Di Matteo refused to reveal whether Fernando Torres would face his former club after starting the last four games on the Chelsea bench.
Villas-Boas is likely to blood the likes of Josh McEachran, Romelu Lukaku and Ryan Bertrand, while captain John Terry is suspended and Raul Meireles is cup-tied.
