    Mark Schwarzer: Spinal injury

SCHARWZER OUT FOR UP TO SIX WEEKS

Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer faces up to six weeks on the sidelines with a spinal injury.
The Australia international sustained the injury during Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Swansea and saw a specialist consultant on Tuesday night.
Schwarzer has now been diagnosed with a compression injury to his thoracic spine and will be unavailable for between four and six weeks.
As a result of losing Schwarzer for a spell, Fulham manager Martin Jol has invoked a loan agreement clause that sees England squad member David Stockdale return from a spell with Ipswich.
The injury ruled Schwarzer out of this evening's vital Europa League Group K clash with Odense at Craven Cottage.
The 39-year-old was expected to be replaced by Philippines international Neil Etheridge, making his first-team debut aged 21.
Etheridge began his career with SW6 rivals Chelsea and penned a contract extension with Fulham until 2013 in the summer.

Roman Pavlyuchenko: Out of favour at Spurs

    SPARTAK EYE PAVLYUCHENKO MOVE

Spartak Moscow are keen on re-signing Roman Pavlyuchenko, with coach Valery Karpin confirming the club's interest in the Tottenham striker.
Spartak sold the Russia international to Spurs in 2008, with his performances in European Championship qualifying - especially against England - bringing him to the attention of Premier League clubs.
The 29-year-old has made over 100 appearances for Tottenham since arriving in England, netting 40 goals, but he has struggled to hold down a regular role.
Frustration at his failure to convince Harry Redknapp of his ability to lead the line has led him to question his future on a regular basis.
He is open to a January move, with reports suggesting he has been offered to Queens Park Rangers.
His possible availability has also alerted the attention of Spartak, with the Russian outfit prepared to offer him a route back to his homeland.
Karpin has confirmed Pavlyuchenko is in their thoughts.
"He is one player on our list of targets," he said.
"We consider many and he is one."
