Abertis sells half its stake in Eutelsat
Iñaki Ferreras ©RapidTVNews | 15-01-2012Spanish infrastructure and telco Abertis Telecom (Hispasat's main shareholder) has sold half its 32% stake in satellite operator Eutelsat, which it had since 2007.
The 16% package of shares is valued at around 1,050 million euros, and Abertis has given the sale to Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley and Société Générale.
Abertis is controlled by Spanish construction company ACS, the Catalan bank CaixaBank and the financial company CVC. It has agreed not to sell the rest of its state in Eutelsat in the next six months following the closing of this operation.
