Diablo Bin2XML/XML2Bin

*** NEW *** NEW *** NEW *** NEW *** NEW *** NEW ***

Two powerful tools for Stealth 1.76/1.77 !

• Bin2XML.vbs ... creates KEYS.XML from KEYS.BIN !
• XML2Bin.vbs ... creates KEYS.BIN from KEYS.XML !

*** The sourcecode of the 2 scripts can be viewed with
*** any texteditor !


Check them and you perhaps won't miss them anymore !!!

Diablo Bin2XML/XML2Bin Update

Created XML-files should now be compatible with

• Fausto 1.05
• Keymaker 1.52

The XML-files created with the first release were not compatible with other programs - but only with XML2Bin.vbs, that means you could edit the XML-file as announced with a texteditor of your choice and create a new BIN-file with "XML2Bin.vbs"!!!
The reason was:

• Fausto 1.05 and Keymaker 1.52 don't accept special characters (= Chr(128) up to Chr(255) and some other ones!) in the providername which is attached to every first key of a new provider in the KEYS.BIN ! Error-messages just like "Bad file format" , "Bad index", "Invalid character" etc. appear on the screen when opening the XML-file !
• Fausto 1.05 and Keymaker 1.52 expect different tag-names and tag-contents concerning "Direct Control Word"-handling !
• Some distributors of KEYS.BIN-files "sign" their files with a special dummy key-entry!

In this update-version of "Bin2XML.vbs" these problems are solved !
(Tested with actual KEYS.BIN !)

Convert Diablo KEYS.BIN to Diablo Keys XML file


Version 1.5:

-Fixes added for somes wrong KEYS.BIN
-Added SID value in tree view
-File Infos added (bad keys type found, end of file corrupted, number of records,...)

Nota: this tools just give a starting point for diablo XML KEYS file, it not exclude errors like bad key type in use for somes providers (example in provider via1 keytype 02 used then the rigth keytype is 01)
In clear it mean after XML was rebuild check all keys & types manually.

Since december 14th, "Fausto" also supports the very rarely used keytype "0D".
If you haven't updated "Fausto" with the latest "KeyLen.ini"-file
released on this day, you can copy the included file "KeyLen.ini"
into the directory "...\Fausto\Datas" !
But this update is absolutely not necessary! No error will occur, if the
KEYS.XML-file includes a key of type "02" and you open the XML-file using
the old "KeyLen.ini" ! (These keys simply will be ignored !)

Note:Somes extensions files modified, uninstall previous version first
-Added 8 random animations in main window
-Added 21 new themes
-Added "Others" Coding System -> used to store all CAIDs not defined in keys structure (example 0961 SkyMovie 7)
-Added option Import keys for each provider -> status saved in XML file -> accruate filter functionnalities for import keys
Untick this option when the keys are in internal firmware or if you want to protect somes keys against import
(example untick provid 000501 -> all provid will be updated except this one then)
-Added Drag file function in:
* main form -> xml keys file (*.XML)
* import keys form -> softcam file (*.KEY)
* AES Keys List form -> any file (*.*)
-Language files updated -> added new datas in each SIL file, ready for Translation

Version 1.5 FIX:

-Fixed bug "Violoation error" -> Soft not crash now with caid unknown
-Modele.xml & CodingSystem.ini modified
If coding system not exist in CodingSystem.ini all keys will be put in coding system "Others"
File can be edited with fausto without any problems
