Giovani Dos Santos: Set to stay at Tottenham

DOS SANTOS SET TO STAY AT SPURS

Giovani Dos Santos' agent expects the forward to stay at Tottenham after he shunned interest from Russia and the United States.
The Mexico international has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League this season and is keen to move in order to play more regular first-team football.
Villarreal had been in talks to sign the 22-year-old earlier this month, while Granada have also been linked with a move for the former Barcelona youngster.
However, Dos Santos' representative Vicente Montes says his client is not near to completing a move away from White Hart Lane before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
"Giovani Dos Santos has offers from Russia and the United States but he has told them that he is not going to play there," he told ESPN Raza Deportiva.
"Tottenham told Giovani that Major League Soccer (in America) had put in an offer for him but the player has other plans.
"As things stand it appears that Giovani Dos Santos will stay at Spurs."
Manager Harry Redknapp is ready to let Dos Santos go, but reports have suggested that the club want between £4-6million for the player, much to Montes' frustration.
"When it comes to valuing Giovani, they place him as a player with big numbers, yet they don't play him," he added.
Last summer Giovani turned down a £13million move to Udinese as he wanted to move to Spain, which is still believed to be his preferred destination.

Jelavic was introduced to the crowd at half-time of their home game against Manchester City.

Wayne Bridge: Joins Black Cats on loan

WAYNE BRIDGE JOINS SUNDERLAND ON LOAN

Wayne Bridge is relishing the chance to play football once again after completing his deadline-day loan move from Manchester City to Sunderland.
The 31-year-old former England international has only one appearance and 78 minutes of football to his name this season to date, but could make his debut in tomorrow night's Barclays Premier League clash with Norwich at the Stadium of Light.
Bridge told SAFC TV: "I'm delighted to make the move. I have met the manager and the lads and everyone seems great.
"I'm just excited to start playing football and playing a few games. The club is on the up - the manager has come in and done very well.
"Just coming in and speaking to him, everything has been positive. I have trained with the lads and they are a great bunch who are feeling really positive.
"Hopefully I can help the club progress even more."
Bridge's only game this season came in a Carling Cup third round tie against Birmingham on September 21, and he admitted he cannot wait to get started on Wearside.
He said "I'm grateful for the chance and want to go out and work hard.
"I have looked at the fixtures and this month's quite busy with a game every few days. That's going to be good for me."

Louis Saha: Linked with deadline-day move to Tottenham

SPURS TARGET SAHA ABSENT FOR TOFFEES

Louis Saha was missing from Everton's teamsheet for Tuesday night's Barclays Premier League clash against Manchester City, fuelling speculation he could be leaving Goodison Park.
The 33-year-old French striker has been linked with a deadline day move to Tottenham throughout the afternoon.
Saha has struggled for form this season, scoring just twice, and was left on the bench for last Friday's FA Cup fourth-round win over Fulham.
Saha joined Everton on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2008 having previously played for Fulham and Newcastle.
He scored 15 goals in the 2009-10 campaign but has had numerous fitness issues since.
Everton are close to completing a deal for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic and could have the flexibility to allow Saha to go.

Roman Pavlyuchenko: Set to join Lokomotiv Moscow

    PAVLYUCHENKO IN LOKOMOTIV TALKS

Lokomotiv Moscow are in talks to sign Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, Press Association Sport understands.
The 30-year-old Russia international joined the north Londoners from Spartak Moscow in September 2008 for a reported fee of £14million.
Pavlyuchenko has only impressed in fits and starts during his time with Spurs and has been regularly linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.
Anzhi Makhachkala, QPR and Sunderland have all been mooted as potential destinations recently, although it is understood the striker could now join Lokomotiv Moscow.
Pavlyuchenko has been little more than a fringe player for Spurs this season, scoring four goals in his 14 appearances.
The striker was not named in Tottenham's 18-man squad for tonight's match with Wigan, with manager Harry Redknapp preferring to name 19-year-old Cameron Lancaster on the bench having never made a first-team appearance.
