Whats the point in this?!

As you have to use a Card (e.g. Dummy Card), anyway.
What advantage is there in doing it this way as opposed to
just springing the additional €10.00(EUR) or so Euros' for a
Loader Card?!

I don't see any point in this. Unless somehow your CAM decided
to go Tits'up on you, and this was the only way to try, and bring
it back...
