astra 19.2

hi all im new to this and needing some help please

i have a humax 5400 and i live in the uk ( devon )

my dish is on hotbird

im looking to move it to 19.2

am i rite in thinking this is the same alingment as my sky dish?

or is astra 19.2 not sky

bit confused

any help please

Hi

astra 19.2 is not the sat for BskyB. On 19.2, you will find sky deutschland, digital+ and canalsat as main package. so the aligment is not quite the same than your BskyB dish, it should be slightly on the right of your sky dish. if you have an android phone or an iphone, there is some good apps to point a dish whatever your position is

to set my dish up last time i put in the station i wanted the freq number and h/v position

ide like to do it the same way if i could

could you possibly give me a good clear station and freq to home in on and set reciver for please

depends on the size of your dish, under 60 cm you won't get the whole channels of astra 19.2. in south where you are, a 60 cm dish is a minimum to get all the channels

for tuning on, have a look a the lyngsat site (google is your friend) and try to find the frequency of either one canalsat channel or one from digital +. If you look for a non crypted channel, try to find i<TV or BFM tv

yes it is, and as you can see, the channel is FTA so i think it will be good to point your dish

hi mate found it lol

it turns out the dish had moved in the bad weather and somhow landed on astra

thanks for the help and i hope somtime i can help somone else

one more question do you know anything bout programing cam cards

i doe mine lastnite

its working but after 10/11/12/ seconds its says auido scrambled and nocks the picture out

i reloaded the card but still doing the same any ideas?

what cam do you use and on which channels does it locks ?...have a look here in the section regarding your cam and maybe you will need to update the keys for the channel you want to watch
