Arjen Robben: Yet to decide where future lies

ROBBEN IN TWO MINDS OVER FUTURE

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has cast further doubt over his future with the club by admitting he has yet to decide whether to extend his contract beyond 2013.
The Dutchman has hit top form recently with a string of stirring performances and five goals in his last two games, but he is still unhappy about being left on the bench last month.
"It cannot be said that I am 100% certain I will stay with Bayern," said the 28-year-old.
"A lot has happened in recent weeks and I didn't play for three games in a row. Everybody saw that. It was not the best of times."
Robben's current contract has just over a year left to run on it and he is attracting interest from clubs in England, where he appears keen to play again after a spell with Chelsea.

He has therefore put contract talks on ice for the time being.
"It is not as if I have to sign a new deal next week," he told the Bild newspaper. "I am just concentrating on playing football.
"I still have a year on my contract with Bayern so there is no rush.
"You never know what happens in football - it is often very strange."

However, Robben insists he is "not speaking to other clubs" even though he admitted that "maybe they do call from time to time".

    Lars Bender: New deal done

    BENDER EXTENDS LEVERKUSEN STAY

Germany international Lars Bender has signed a two-year extension to his contract with Bayer Leverkusen, prolonging his stay with them until 2017.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who joined the Bundesliga club from 1860 Munich in 2009, said he was "delighted and satisfied" to commit his future to Leverkusen.
"Bayer is the right club for my development," he added on the club's website.

Bender, whose twin brother Sven plays for Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund, has become a cornerstone of the Leverkusen side, earning his first Germany call-ups recently.
He is a candidate for Joachim Low's squad for Euro 2012 and Bayer's general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser says he has a bright future ahead of him.

"Lars is a role model professional with huge potential," he said.
"He has already become a key member and leading figure in the Bayer team, despite his young age."
Leverkusen's director of sport Rudi Voller added: "Lars is a very important component for a successful future of Bayer Leverkusen."

Paolo De Ceglie: Emotional after signing new deal

DE CEGLIE PENS NEW JUVE DEAL

Juventus defender Paolo De Ceglie has signed a new deal which will keep him at the Turin club until 2017.
The 25-year-old left-back came up through the ranks with Juve and, apart from a successful loan at Siena from 2007-08, De Ceglie has spent his entire career so far with the club.

"I'm emotional," he told calciomercato.com. "To tie myself for so long to Juventus was my goal since I was nine years old.
    "I've realised a childhood dream."

Dickson Etuhu: Hoping to stay at Fulham

    ETUHU: ALL FINE AT FULHAM

Dickson Etuhu has categorically denied wanting to quit Fulham after falling out with manager Martin Jol.
Quotes attributed to Etuhu suggested the midfielder was resigned to leaving Craven Cottage at the end of the season.
But the 29-year-old, who was frozen out of the squad by Jol in January after suggesting he wanted to move on, told the club's official website: "These reports are completely false and, contrary to what has been written, I continue to enjoy good working relationships with all the management and staff at Fulham.

"I've loved every minute of my time at Fulham since joining in 2008 and I sincerely hope to be part of further success under Martin Jol over the next few seasons.
"My immediate aim now is to regain my starting place in the first XI and help the team secure another top-10 finish."
The recent arrival of Mahamadou Diarra has seen Etuhu pushed further down the pecking order and he has not started any of the club's last five Barclays Premier League games.

    Paul Jewell: Waiting to hear

    JEWELL WAITING ON MYSTERY MAN

Ipswich manager Paul Jewell has discussed a possible deal with a Portsmouth player but is unsure whether the move will go through.
Pompey's financial problems have already seen several players leave on loan recently, with the likes of Liam Lawrence, Erik Huseklepp, Stephen Henderson and Hayden Mullins moving on.
Further departures could happen before Thursday's loan deadline, with Ipswich having previously shown an interest in Joel Ward and Jason Pearce. And Jewell is now waiting to see if the unnamed player agrees to a deal.

"I met one of them on Sunday after getting permission off Portsmouth," Jewell told the East Anglian Daily Times.
"Whether that's going to happen I don't know. I'm not going to tell you who it is but we chatted for a couple of hours. If it happens, great, if it doesn't then we move on.
"I think he liked what he saw, but at the same time I don't think the player is short of offers either. We won't be bringing anyone in on loan just for the sake of it. If we do something it will be with a view to them being here next season.
"I'm more interested in building for the future rather than short-term stuff at the moment."
