Marcello Trotta: Back at Fulham

Marcello Trotta has returned to Fulham following the completion of his month-long loan stay at Watford.

Trotta, 19, arrived fresh from having bagged eight goals in eight appearances during a loan stay with League One Wycombe, form which earned him his first appearance for Fulham as a late substitute in their January FA Cup defeat at Everton.
Hornets boss Sean Dyche told Watford's official website: "Marcello came in to what was a very tough ask against Southampton and we ended up shuffling things around after that game.


"We've been unbeaten since then so he's been unlucky in that there hasn't been that real need to alter too much.
"I hope he's had some good development here. I know he's learned a lot about Championship football and how it differs from League One. Marcello has been very professional and a credit to himself. We wish him well for the future as he goes back to Fulham."

Mario Gomez: Netted 23 goals this season

GOMEZ HOPING FOR NEW BAYERN DEAL

In-form striker Mario Gomez expects to extend his contract with Bayern Munich in the coming weeks.
Gomez's current contract expires next summer but he appears poised to sign a new deal that will run through until 2016.
The 26-year-old has been in career-best form this season netting 23 Bundesliga goals to close in on the 28-goal record he set last term.
The Germany international has scored nine in his past five games, including four in the 7-0 Champions League last-16 rout of Basle.


"The probability of me renewing my contract is very strong. I feel good," Gomez said.
Earlier this month Gomez's agent, Uli Ferber, said a deal was close.
"We've had excellent discussions with Bayern and they all want an extension," he told Bild. "It could happen very soon."

Wesley: Moves back to Brazil

BREMEN FINALISE WESLEY SALE

Werder Bremen have completed the protracted transfer of Brazil midfielder Wesley to Palmeiras.
A reported six million euros deal was finalised on Monday to allow the 24-year-old to remain in his homeland, where he had been training since the start of the year.


After two seasons in the Bundesliga the former Santos player had sought a move back to Brazil, however, the terms of the deal were not agreed until today.
"I am very excited. I have been training at Palmeiras for a while now," Wesley said in a statement on Palmeiras' website.
"Since I was in Europe I have had several offers, but when Palmeiras' interest came up I was delighted and did not have to think twice."
