TV5Monde now available in Japan

TV5Monde Pacifique has signed a distribution deal with Japan CableCast to integrate the JCHITS cable offer.
JCHITS is one of two aggregators that supply contents to Japanese cable operators. It already carries a total of 123 channels, and TV5Monde Pacifique is the only French-speaking channel of the line-up. The 16 main cable-operators related to JCHITS are covering the areas of de Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They represent around 900,000 households out of a potential of 1.5 million.
TV5Monde in Japan is subtitled in Japanese and already carried on Hikari’s IPTV offer and as a pay-TV on TV5’s bilingual website.
