Orange Polska arrests decline
April 27, 2012 08.29 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul
Orange Polska ended the first quarter with 663,000 TV subscribers, a 14.9% increase on the same period last year.
Its pay-TV segment was meanwhile back to growth thanks to 19,000 subscribers of the n offer being added in the quarter.
The company’s revenues in the fixed segment in Q1 amounted to PLN1,927 million (€461 million), a 5.4% reduction on a year earlier, compared to a 6.6% year-on-year fall in 2011 compared to 2010.
The EBITDA margin was meanwhile 36.4% in Q1 this year, compared to 37.6% a year earlier, due mainly to lower voice revenues.
Orange Polska is the new brand name for the Polish incumbent telco and was adopted for all its operations earlier this month.
