TF1 brings in €56.1M with Shine’s format The Voice

Shine’s talent format The Voice has helped French channel TF1 to achieve €56.1M in gross ad revenues over 12 shows.
According to the Yacast research institute, 891 TV commercials were broadcast over the series, representing five hours and ten minutes of air time. The Voice achieved a better result than the previous TF1 vocal format, Star Academy, which brought in €42.4M in 2008.
Launched on 25 February, Shine France’s show had its final episode last Saturday. Broadcast each week in prime time, it was watched by an average of 7.8 million viewers, compared to 6 million for Star Academy from 2001 to 2008.
