Dirk Kuyt: Expected to leave Liverpool

    KUYT HAS OPTIONS ACROSS EUROPE

Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt admits a number of clubs from Europe's major leagues are interested in signing him.
The Holland international, 32 this summer, has a year to run on his Anfield contract, but seems destined to leave after a season in which he found first-team starts limited.
"There are many clubs who are interested," he told NUsport in Holland.
"Not only from England, also from Germany, Spain and Italy."

One club he has ruled out, however, are former side Feyenoord who would not be able to afford his wages.
"I have had several conversations with Feyenoord but we were unable to agree," he added.
"I did not want on my conscience that Feyenoord would have financial problems because of my salary.
"There were too many doubts on both sides. I've thought about it, but it is not the time to return. "

Johan Djourou: Looking for more football

    DJOUROU CONSIDERS ARSENAL EXIT

Johan Djourou admits the time may have come to leave Arsenal after becoming frustrated by his lack of opportunities.
The Switzerland international started just 14 Premier League games in 2011-12, even having to fill in at right-back rather than his favoured central role.
The 25-year-old only signed a new contract at the Emirates Stadium in February, committing himself to the club until 2015.
As a result, he could be forced to seek a loan exit as he goes in search of games with the likes of Thomas Vermaelen, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker ahead of him in the queue at Arsenal.

"My situation at Arsenal is not easy," Djourou told Swiss website 20 Minuten. "I've never played so little and especially not in my own position. If an interesting offer comes, I'll look at it carefully."
Further pressure is being heaped on the player by his national team coach, who insists Djourou must be playing for his club if he is to remain a part of the Swiss set-up.
Switzerland boss Ottmar Hitzfeld said: "If he wants to be selected, he must have some game time in the club. This is not the case at Arsenal."

Andy Johnson: Could head to Middle East

    ANDY JOHNSON PONDERS UAE MOVE

Fulham striker Andy Johnson could leave the Premier League to pursue his career in the UAE, according to the player's agent.
Johnson is out of contract this summer and the former England international's representative Anthony McFarlane has suggested Dubai is the preferred destination for him.
"It's something he has firmly been thinking about," said McFarlane. "He is now 31 and has never been in this situation in his career where he is available on a Bosman (free transfer).
"His mind is open and he's looking at all his options, both here in England and abroad. He is keen on a new challenge and very interested in a move to the UAE provided the offer is right.

"There have been no concrete offers as such at this moment in time, but there has been strong interest from a number of clubs in the Gulf area, including a couple from the UAE.
"Without a doubt, he is looking at it. It's just a case of weighing up his options and making sure he joins the right club."

Paolo Di Canio: New Swindon deal done

    DI CANIO EXTENDS SWINDON STAY

Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio has signed a contract extension to keep him at the club until 2015.
Di Canio has enjoyed a successful debut season in his first managerial job, leading the Robins to the npower League Two title and the final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon where the news was announced, Swindon chairman Jeremy Wray said: "Paolo has been a spectacular success in his first year of club management.

"From the outset he has given assurance of his commitments to Swindon, as long as we had a shared goal of reaching the Championship within three years.

"Having agreed the budget for the upcoming season, the board has every confidence that Paolo will deliver this goal within the period of his new contract.
"I am sure all Swindon fans will join the board in welcoming this news and that we can all look forward to another exciting and successful season."

Andrew Little: Waiting to hear from Rangers

    LITTLE OPTIMISTIC OVER NEW DEAL

Andrew Little hopes recent developments at Rangers mean he will be offered a new contract in the coming weeks.
The Northern Ireland international's contract is set to expire with Rangers still not in a position to give him an extension.
However, the publication of a Company Voluntary Arrangement proposal means creditors could accept a deal on June 14 with the club then able to come out of administration from July 12.
Little scored five goals in 10 appearances after the club went into administration in February and hopes his first lasting run in the team will stand him in good stead.

The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "The run of games I got in March and April was brilliant. I really enjoyed being involved, starting games and getting goals.
"If I'm at the club next season hopefully I can do that again and it has been better for the club recently.
"Charles Green came in and spoke to us at the end of the St Johnstone game and spoke really well to us which was refreshing.
"The manager can plan a wee bit more for next season and for me, maybe that means it's now more likely I'll get offered something in the next couple of weeks.
"I've got a big decision to make over whether I stay or go but I'll have a chance to speak to the manager and the money men.
"I've said before that I'd like to stay. There are an awful lot of factors I need to think about but hopefully I'll be able to make a decision soon."

Little's pressing concern is his country's weekend friendly against Holland in Amsterdam
Little said: "The game comes a week before the European Championships so it's a big game for them but for me, I'm just delighted to be back involved again with the team.
"It's the first time I'll have joined the squad with Michael O'Neill as the manager so it's nice that he has recognised my form with my club and brought me into the squad.
"Any time I've been away in the past, I've really enjoyed it and it'll be a really good experience for me to come up against Holland.
"The manager has obviously watched me playing as a striker and I know if I do play there that it'll be difficult.
"But it's the best way to learn against quality players and I'm absolutely buzzing at the chance to turn out for my country again."
