    How to enter Constant Control Word keys in Humax

    For some strange reason, nowhere is information available about how to enter constant control word keys (or DCW keys) in a Humax reciever. Some claim it's even impossible. For your information, these DCW keys are occasionally available for channels like SexView, Redlight, B4U Movies and MCT.

    However, it can be done! The trick is to enter these values into the PMC table, using the following format:

    channel name,0021,serviceid,caid,Block1,Block2,B lock3,Block4,0000
    channel name,0021,serviceid,caid,Block5,Block6,B lock7,Block8,0000

    Block=4 digits of the DCW string

    For example, you have the DCW string for SexViewDP and it would be:
    0B828A160A44A1CD72FE54C43A5FA22A
    (fictional example!)

    SexViewDP has service-id
    14005, which is 36B5 in hex
    It uses Irdeto 2, so the caid is 0606

    Now this would translate to the following entries in the Humax PCM table

    SexViewDP,0021,36B5,0B82,8A16,0A44,A1CD,0000
    SexViewDP,0021,36B5,72FE,54C4,3A5F,A22A,0000

    Note that every channel uses 2 lines in the table!

    I'd say, spread the word. Humax CAN use DCW keys!

    Re: HUMAX USER GUIDE (Little HOW TO...)

    Same for me. CAID on "CARD+EMU" doesn't work. But "CARD" alone gives me 2 channels (france 2 and france 3).

    What is wrong ?

    Thanks to all.

    5) the latest PMC Table
    6) the latest Keybin

    Item 1 null modem cable - you have to buy and is very cheap to get
    Items 2 to 6 are luckily always available free on this Forum.

    To be able to perform items 3 to 6 mentioned above you always need the Humax Toolbox referred to at item 2 above so start by downloading it to your PC

    Then just follow this quide here of how to perform items 3 to 6 successfully starting with item 3 :
    How to upload the latest firmware

    Requirements:-

    Humax Toolbox
    +Cam Firmware Hot Emu xx (with extension HDF) Unzipped File

    4. Set up the correct Com Port

    8. Click OK
    9. Click Upload (PC->STB)
    10. Turn On Receiver from Standby position. At this point, a progress bar appears on PC and a simultaneous one on the TV screen
    11. When download is ready, on the TV screen you will see: “End. Press Standby Key”
    12. Press Standby Key.
    13. Then with the Remote select: Menu, Toh, Config (CAID Preselect) and select Card +Emu (vide Note 15 below)
    14. Patch is complete

    is this possible with humax and camd3

    You can use sharing server Newcamd or Camd3xx
    camd3.config,camd3.servers

    Your Hummy must be connected to the PC

    but NO !!!! on the Net can use camd3.keys

    Without the need to connect to the internet - this is not sharing
    ***********************

    Configuration :
    Humax setting : card+s+emu
    sharing protocol mode : HSIC

    Conect with Null-modem Pc<-->Stb
    First----> Run HSIC3.00
    Turn-On your STB
    Second---> Run servers.exeand
    wait for a wnile,,,, that's it !!!!!

    You can update the keys by overwriting the "Camd3.keys" file.

    Conax keys
    Nagra keys
    Nagra 2 keys
    Seca keys
    Seca 2 keys
    Viaccess keys
    Viaccess 2 keys
    AES keys
    Cryptoworks keys
    NDS / Videoguard keys
    Constant Control Word

    The following method works if you wish to "manually" update the key file yourself.
    * put the (Updt.-last)camd3 key on your folder
