TV8 Mont-Blanc/Sat2Way take fast lane to high speed broadband via satellite

French local TV station TV8 Mont-Blanc has entered into a merger with web access provider Sat2Way, a partner of Eutelsat for the delivery of its Tooway service.

The new joint-venture will co-manage the activities of both companies and specially stress on the development of fast broadband access via Eutelsat Tooway solution.

Such a technology aims at completing fibre optics and IPTV networks in poorly covered or blank areas, in France first, and soon in neighbouring countries.

Also broadcast via satellite, TV8 Mont-Blanc is now received into almost 70 % of French houses.
