ARKANSAS QUICK HITS …
► Arkansas’ eight runs on Saturday marked the Razorbacks’ highest run total in the NCAA tournament (previous high: five runs on three occasions) and the most since scoring eight runs against Tennessee on May 19. Prior to that, Arkansas had been held to one run or less in five of its last eight games dating back to the SEC Tournament.
► Jake Wise’s second-inning homer was his second of the year and first since Feb. 19 vs. Villanova. Wise also matched his career-high with three RBI today. Wise’s second-inning homer was the first by an Arkansas player since May 19 against Tennessee, a span of eight games. Arkansas was the only team in the 2012 CWS field without a postseason homer before Saturday.
► Arkansas pitchers have allowed just one run on nine hits in their last two games spanning 19.0 innings. |

Price extended his scoreless streak at the CWS to 14.2 innings dating back to June 26, 2010. He has an ERA of 0.44 ERA in 20.2 career innings at the CWS, placing him in a fifth-place tie on the career list (minimum 20.0 innings).
