Nouble: Has penned a two-year contract

    WOLVES WRAP UP NOUBLE DEAL

Wolves have snapped up former West Ham United forward Frank Nouble on a free transfer and handed him a two-year contract.
The 20-year-old striker dropped into the free agent pool this summer after seeing his contract at Upton Park expire.
He has passed a medical at Molineux and agreed personal terms.

Having spent much of the last two years out on loan, he will be looking forward to pushing for a regular role at Wolves.
New Wolves boss Stale Solbakken is delighted to have brought the youngster on board, with the club readying themselves for a promotion push in the Championship.
"Frank is a player that our scouts have been watching," he told the club's official website.
"We think he has qualities that we can develop, and with his physical strength and power I feel that he can help us.
"He should be a useful acquisition to the squad and it is a good opportunity for him to come to a stable club and work hard.
"I think there is a win-win situation for both the club and the player. He is a young guy and he can add to his potential every week."

Nouble is a product of the academy system at Chelsea, but snubbed the offer of professional terms at Stamford Bridge to pen a five-year contract with West Ham in 2009.
He struggled to make an impact with the Hammers, though, and was allowed to take in loan spells at West Bromwich Albion, Swindon Town, Swansea City, Barnsley, Charlton Athletic and Gillingham.

    Clough: Very strong squad already

CLOUGH: NO NEED FOR BIG CHANGE

Derby County manager Nigel Clough has ruled out sweeping changes at the club this summer.
Clough made eight permanent signings last summer as his overhaul of the Rams squad continued.
After a top-half finish and recording the club's third highest points tally in the last 16 seasons during the 2011/12 campaign, Clough has stated his desire to maintain a settled squad at Pride Park.

"There were a few players who did not contribute as much as we would have liked last season so we can afford to lose a few of the fringe players this summer, like Chris Maguire who has joined Sheffield Wednesday," Clough told the club's official website.
"Twelve months ago we were looking at six or seven new players coming in and this year we are looking nowhere near that figure, which is good. It should be three or four players every season, where a few will drop off at the end and then we try and improve things from there.

"It (the squad) puts us in a position of strength because we know essentially we have got a very good squad here now. As long as we don't lose too many of them and we improve and strengthen, then we will be ready for next season."
