Flamini set to stay at AC Milan
    Last Updated: June 26 2012, 11:27 BST

Mathieu Flamini is set to remain at AC Milan for at least another season, according to reports in Italy.

Flamini: Set to stay at the San Siro

The French midfielder was expected to leave the San Siro outfit this summer with his current deal ending next month.
However, the 28-year-old has reportedly agreed to reduce his wages by half in order to remain with the Rossoneri.
The former Arsenal midfielder joined Milan in 2008 but missed most of last season with a serious knee injury.
Flamini's decision to stay could end Milan's pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

Milan claimed earlier this week they had not ruled out the possibility of signing Aquilani, who is considered the ideal replacement for Flamini.
Aquilani played on loan at Milan last season and scored one goal in 23 league appearances.
The 27-year-old is under contract with the Premier League side until June 2014.

    Veloso likely to leave Genoa
    Last Updated: June 26 2012, 11:08 BST

Genoa have revealed Miguel Veloso could leave the club this summer to join Dynamo Kiev.

Miguel Veloso: Transfer interest from Dynamo Kiev

The 26-year-old midfielder, who is currently on international duty with Portugal at the European Championship, has been strongly linked with a move away from Genoa.
"It is true that the Ukrainian club are interested in Veloso," Genoa sporting director Stefano Capozucca said to Sport Italia.

"There is a good chance that the midfielder could leave us this summer."
Veloso joined Genoa from Sporting Lisbon in 2010 and is under contract with the Serie A outfit for another three seasons.

    El Ahmadi confirms Villa talks

Moroccan ace ready for Villa Park move
    Last Updated: June 26, 2012 12:15pm

Karim El Ahmadi: Wanted by Aston Villa

Feyenoord midfielder Karim El Ahmadi has confirmed that he is set to join Premier League side Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old Morocco international has just a year left on his current deal at De Kuip and he had been in talks over an extension.
But new Villa boss Paul Lambert has made his move for the midfielder and now El Ahmadi has revealed he is set to seal a 'dream' move.
"This is a dream for every player. I hope it will go through," he told RTV Rijnmond.

"I was on the verge of extending my contract but then this came along. I am 27, that's an age where you can look for a new challenge.
"For me the Premier League is the best league in the world. I didn't have to think long about it."
El Ahmadi is already in England as he awaits confirmation of an agreement between both clubs.

    Aluko eyes MLS career

23-year-old scored 12 goals in 23 games for Rangers
    Last Updated: June 26, 2012 2:56pm

Sone Aluko: The Nigerian winger could swap Scotland for the USA once his Rangers contract expires

Sone Aluko could be offered the chance to follow David Beckham over to Major League Soccer after being scouted by former Scotland striker Mo Johnston.
The Nigeria international caught the eye of a number of clubs during a six-month spell at Rangers, but is likely to join the exodus of players from Ibrox now his contract has expired.
Former Rangers and Celtic man Johnston was impressed with what he saw of Aluko and recommended him to his friend Dominic Kinnear - a former St Johnstone player and current Houston Dynamo coach.

"I'm pretty good friends with Mo Johnston and he brought up Sone's name to me," Kinnear told the Scottish Sun.
"I had a close look at Sone and was impressed. If he is free and available, we'd really like to bring him to Houston.
"Sone is great on the ball. He can take players on and has the ability to change games.
"There will be other clubs looking at Sone but we'll be professional and wait until we get word he's free."

Should the move go through it would allow Sone to follow in his sister's footsteps as she made the move from Chelsea ladies to St Louis Athletic in 2009 and was voted onto the league's all-star team later that year.

    Spurs winning Sigurdsson race

Tottenham appear favourites for Icelandic star's signature
    Last Updated: June 26, 2012 7:01pm

Gylfi Sigurdsson: Could join Spurs despite interest from Liverpool and Swansea

Sky Sources understand Tottenham are confident of signing Swansea and Liverpool target Gylfi Sigurdsson.
Sigurdsson spent the latter half of last season on loan with the Swans from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim and appeared set to complete a permanent deal this summer.

But the situation was complicated when Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers took over at Anfield last month, sparking interest from the Reds.
Spurs could now snatch the youngster from under the noses of their Premier League rivals.
German newspaper Bild claims the managerless North Londoners have lined up an £8million deal for the 22-year-old Iceland international.
The former Reading midfielder scored seven goals in 19 games for Swansea last term and was named the Premier League player of the month for March.

    Deadline
Hoffenheim have given Sigurdsson until Saturday to secure a move to England having allowed him extended leave after they returned to pre-season training just over a week ago.
Swansea thought they had secured the player on a permanent basis after agreeing a club-record £6.8million fee soon after the end of the season but before Sigurdsson could complete a medical their manager was lured to Liverpool.
Rodgers admitted he would be interested in signing the midfielder for the Reds but stressed the player had to first speak to new Swansea boss Michael Laudrup.

When the prospect of him moving to the Liberty Stadium having diminished it seemed Anfield would be his next stopping place but now it could be White Hart Lane.
Last week Hoffenheim coach Markus Babbel, himself a former Liverpool player, said of Sigurdsson's planned move: "If, by the deadline on June 30, he has done nothing then he will return to his pre-season with us.
"We have agreed this with him."

Sigurdsson is contracted to Hoffenheim for another two years but despite impressing in his first campaign in 2010/11 he dropped down the pecking order last season, forcing his loan to Swansea.
