Sony buys movie package for VOD

Sony has purchased a movie package from German rights dealer Splendid Film for its video-on-demand (VOD) service in Germany. Financial details have not been disclosed.
The line-up includes current releases such as "The Expendables" and "SeeFood" as well as classic titles, for example "Traffic" and "Gangs of New York".
The VOD service which is operated by Sony Entertainment Network is available on TV sets, games consoles, tablet-PCs and smartphones manufactured by Sony as well as on PCs.
