Fletcher satisfied with trialist defender's display against Yeovil

Carl Fletcher: Plymouth Argyle is looking at former Sevilla defender Alejandro Perez Jimenez


Plymouth Argyle manager Carl Fletcher will decide in the next few days whether to extend the trial of Spanish defender Alejandro Perez Jimenez.
The former Sevilla youngster has been training with Plymouth this week and featured during Saturday's 5-0 friendly defeat by Yeovil Town.
Fletcher was satisfied with Jimenez's performance despite the result and will consider his options over the coming days.


"I thought he did well," Fletcher told the club's official website. "He played the full 90. He can play across the back four as well.
"It's always difficult, though, when foreign players come over. He speaks pretty good English and he did well."
Asked if he would be extending Jimenez's stay, Fletcher replied: "We'll see in the next few days."

Rafael tells Moura to join Man Utd

Rafael has urged Lucas Moura to join Manchester United and has claimed his fellow Brazilian is excited about the prospect of moving to Old Trafford.

Teenage midfielder Lucas is one of world football's most coveted talents and has reportedly been the subject of an offer from the Red Devils.
His current club Sao Paulo claim to have turned down a bid of €35million (£27m) for the 19-year-old, who is also a target for Inter Milan.
Lucas is presently part of Brazil's squad for the Olympics, alongside Rafael, and it appears the two have spoken about the chance to sign for United.
Full-back Rafael said in the Daily Star Sunday: "Yes, I have told Lucas he should come to Manchester United, of course."

And, when asked whether Lucas was excited about coming to United, Rafael replied: "Yes, yes!"
Another member of Brazil's Olympic squad who could be on his way to the Premier League is Oscar, who has undergone a medical at Chelsea.
Oscar has confirmed he will make a final decision on his future after the Olympics and Rafael feels the midfielder can enjoy an impact in English football.


He added: "I have heard about Oscar coming to Chelsea and he is a good player and very important to Brazil.
"I really think he will do very well in the Premier League because he is a talented player."

Feyenoord loan for City youngster

Manchester City's Omar Elabdellaoui has joined Feyenoord on a season-long loan deal.

The Norway Under-21 international has yet to make an appearance for City's first team but was an unused substitute in December 2010's Europa League group game against Juventus.

He follows in the footsteps of team-mate John Guidetti, who made a similar move last summer and enjoyed a prolific season in Holland.
"It's an exciting challenge for me and it gives me the opportunity to play regular first-team football that will obviously benefit me and hopefully City as well in the long-term," Elabdellaoui said.
Elabdellaoui signed a new two-year contract with City earlier this year.
