    Twente capture Castaignos

Teenage frontman heads home after failing to make his mark at Inter
    Last Updated: July 28, 2012 4:19pm

Luc Castaignos: Hoping to prove himself again in his homeland

Luc Castaignos has returned to his native Holland with FC Twente after finding first-team football hard to come by at Inter Milan.
The highly-rated 19-year-old joined Inter last summer after forging a reputation at Feyenoord.
Inter secured his services with one eye on the future, but were unable to offer the youngster the opportunities he craves.
As a result, they have allowed him to head home in a €6million (£4.7m) deal.

Twente have swooped for Castaignos' services after offloading Luuk de Jong to Borussia Monchengladbach, and he is looking forward to shouldering goalscoring responsibility once again.
"I am going from Inter to Twente for €6million," Castaignos told FCInterNews.
"I signed a four-year contract, but I would prefer for the financial details to remain private.
    Improving

"I came to Inter in order to show who Luc Castaignos really was and what I am capable of on a football field, but had very few opportunities to do that.
"In any case, I hope this year can be better for the Nerazzuri, because they do not deserve to experience another season like that.
"I chose Twente because I wanted to join a team where I knew I'd have a better chance of playing and improving."
FC Twente coach Steve McClaren is confident Castaignos can rediscover his best form in the Eredivisie.

He told Voetbal International: "The important thing is that we have a goalscorer, and that is what Castaignos is.
"It says something that the boy could score 15 goals in his first season at Feyenoord.
"In recent months we were trying to build a team around De Jong, but the players we've attracted will be very good alongside Castaignos."

    Pienaar fee agreed

South African close to permanent move back to Everton
    Last Updated: July 28, 2012 4:01pm

Steven Pienaar: Scored four goals in 15 appearances after returning to Everton in January

Sky Sports sources understand Everton have agreed a fee with Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Steven Pienaar.
The Goodison Park club have been keen to re-sign the South African having sold him to Spurs in a £3million deal in January 2011.

Pienaar moved back to Everton on loan in January 2012 after struggling to make an impact at White Hart Lane in his 12 months in London.
When back with the Toffees, he played 14 games and scored four goals in a replication of the form which made him a star on Merseyside in his initial spell from July 2007.

It was previously understood talks over a permanent deal for Pienaar's return to Everton had broken down.
But sources have now revealed a fee has been agreed and the 30-year-old could become David Moyes' second summer signing following the arrival of Steven Naismith.

    No bids for Janssen

Overmars insists any decision to sell would rest with De Boer
    Last Updated: July 28, 2012 6:47pm

Theo Janssen: The midfielder has one year left on his contract in Amsterdam

Vitesse Arnhem have yet to submit a bid to re-sign Theo Janssen and Ajax are not expected to want to sell the midfielder.
The 31-year-old spent the first decade of his career with Vitesse before a move to FC Twente and then a transfer to Ajax on a two-year deal in 2011.

Reports have suggested Janssen could return to Vitesse this summer, despite just helping Ajax to the Eredivisie title last season.
But Ajax's director of football, Marc Overmars, has yet to receive an offer and he is adamant any decision over a possible sale would rest with manager Frank de Boer.
"Vitesse have been linked with Theo, but there is no bid. Frank de Boer and the others in the technical team will decide what they want to do," Overmars told De Telegraaf.

"If the coach says he cannot leave, then he stays. And I can imagine that he says that, because Theo was and is an important player for Ajax.
"If Frank thinks he can get a certain amount for him, we will talk then. But for now, there is nothing."
