Softcam.key differences

Hi guys

I have an F16 which I believe uses the CT softcam.key file.

However, what is the difference in the keys between other softcam.key files which may work in an Openbox for example.

For example, the CT softcam has 16 char / byte keys whereas others have 32 char / byte keys.

I have a file that appears to be out of date for a particular key so wanted to update from a newer file but I don't know why the keys are different?

Could anyone enlighten me and maybe give me a pointer in the right direction?

I would not bother with SoftCam.Key these days anymore.
because it opens next to nothing anyway
