Daniele De Rossi: Not for sale but Roma would be prepared to consider a decent offer
Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has insisted that Daniele De Rossi is not for sale, although he admits some offers are impossible to refuse.
Manchester Cityare reported to be interested in bringing in the 29-year-old midfielder, who has spent his entire career in the Italian capital.
De Rossirevealed earlier in the summer that he had received an offer to play in the Premier League and described English football as 'more interesting' than Serie A.
Sabatini insists that Romahave no intention of letting De Rossi leave, but would be prepared to discuss a sale if the right bid came in.
"De Rossi is not for sale, but in football there are situations that you cannot predict," he told reporters.
Difficult
"There is flexibility for all players, even for those from Roma.
"If a club came to us with a proposal that you could not refuse, we would speak about it.
"But it is not an actual perspective. De Rossi is crucial for us and it's difficult to consider his sale."
Sabatini's stance is much the same when it comes to the future of striker Pablo Osvaldo, who has been mentioned as a possible transfer target for Inter Milanbut remains a key part of Roma's plans.
He explained: "The unsellable players no longer exist, but he is a very strong and important player for us and we don't want to give away someone we consider important."
