Canal+Liga 2 launches in HDTV

Prisa TV’s Canal + Liga 2 is to offer subscribers free HDTV feeds signal of eight La Liga football games that the Spanish broadcaster will transmit.

The new signal will share spectrum with Canal + 3D, Canal + Liga Champions 2 HD and so the three channels will alternate in their transmission to avoid interference. However this is highly unlikely given that Canal + 3D offers little in the way of programming and the Champions league always takes place on days that do not coincide with the Spanish football league.

The channel will share satellite transponders with AXN HD, Canal + Comedia HD, Canal + Liga HD and the aforementioned Canal + and Canal + 3D Champions League 2 HD.
