I think we both misunderstood each other a little.
He does not want only ONE Bulgarian channel, but as many as he can get, which is open / free.
Apparently, he has been able to look at several Bulgarian channels before, with this box (and satellite).
If we forget that there are four LNB on the dish, and only focuses on aligning ONE LNB, which satellite is the best?
Hi. Does your friend know which channels he was able to view before?? This may help to identify the satellite. Like i said before the only Bulgarian channels i am aware of is BULSAT package at 39 east but your receiver will only show the free channels not the pay ones. Try and pick up this satellite and see what you get. I am in London and can pick up this satellite with a 1 metre motorized dish. As you are in Sweden not too sure if you can pick up the satellite. I dont know what you are going to do with 4 LNB's as your choices are very limited.

No, he can't remember what channels it was. He is, as I said happy for all the Bulgarian channels he can get, even if it would only be a maximum of 2-3 channels.
Have now for two days trying to align his dish, but can't do so good, with this ancient method (with a compass and a satbeeper).
I told him that if I should be able to assist you in the best way, I have to try to get a good device for this.
This brings me to a different/new issue.
Is there any kind person who can recommend a good device/satellite finder for a reasonably cheap price? (Around 500-1500 SEK.)

Can you give us a picture of this dish & LNB's ?
To test a LNB, point a usual sat on a lonely LNB & directly to the receiver. Use your sat beeper to validate this tested LNB.
Can you change each degree value for each LNB or is this static ?
To point the best sat you've to select it before so use king of sat or lyngsat for best informations & don't forget to see the map coverage for each sat you want. (maybe no coverage on Sweden.

Hi. Looking at the pictures it seems to me that its a disaster waiting to happen. Surely the house is not going to be left in that state. How are you going to get 4 LNB's working with the way they are setup at the moment? I think the dish is too small for 4 LNB's anyway. To find satellites you dont really need a meter etc. You can just put the receiver on a satellite available for your dish size/location, select a free channel and then move dish slowly left and right and up and down until you get a picture on your tv then you tighten the dish up. You need to make sure that the dish is pointing in the right direction. if you have neighbours with satellite dishes check what way they dishes are pointing as this will help you. I would start to look for satellites like SIRIUS at 4.8 east or THOR at 1 west. Also make sure your receiver is able to receiver multi sats and is it easy to setup etc. Does the receiver support DISEQC protocol? If not you will not be able to use more than one LNB.

Hi. With all due respects you cant tell me that this house looks secure with all the wooden scaffolding everywhere. I cannot believe that you are going to leave the dish mounted like that. I think you should fix the dish in a more secure way. To me it looks very messy, tell your friend to get a professional to do it. Also i dont think the 4 LNB's will work because the dish seems too small for 4 satellites. Remember to pick up 4 satellites you need to have the proper gap between each LNB's. Also have you checked the receiver to see which satellites it can pick up??
