Cristiano Ronaldo: Highly unlikely to leave for Anzhi despite being 'sad'
Anzhi Makhachkala have no interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo, according to their sporting director Roberto Carlos.
Speculation has linked the Portugal forward with a move away from Real Madridafter he revealed he was 'sad' about certain things at the Bernabeu.
With Carlosvisiting the training ground at Madrid over the weekend, those rumours only increased given the substantial budget available to the free-spending Russian club.
But the former Brazil international has admitted he doesn't expect to sign Ronaldo, although he insists there will be high-profile arrivals continuing to flock to Dagestan.
"Lots of people have asked me that," Carlos told AS when asked about signing Ronaldo.
"We haven't come to sign Cristiano. We are, however, thinking about signing some quality players for next season.
"Cristiano shouldn't worry, people like him a lot. Problems can be resolved."
