James Vaughan: On loan until the end of the season and Huddersfield may try to keep him
Simon Grayson has admitted it is an option for Huddersfield Town to try and buy James Vaughan at the end of his loan spell.
The striker joined the Terriers from Norwich Cityin the summer on a deal until the end of the season.
He has impressed Graysonwith his performances in the Championship so far and scored on Monday to help seal a 3-1 victory over Blackpool.
Grayson is happy to have such a player at his disposal and is not ruling out an attempt to secure the 24-year-old's signature on a permanent deal.
"Signing James in January is a possibility," Grayson told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. "We've got him on loan until the end of the season anyway so that's an option.
"I've got a chairman who's willing to back me in the transfer market and he's done it previously.
"There's lots of options for us but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
"James is rightly flying with confidence. All he needed when we signed him in the summer was games under his belt. If he can have an injury-free season, he can be a major acquisition for us."
