A+E Networks inks 1500+ hours’ of worldwide sales

Global media content company A+E Networks has closed on broadcast licensing agreements amounting to more than 1500+ hours of content across EMEA, SEA, Latin America, and Canada.
A joint venture of Disney-ABC Television Group and Hearst Corporation, A+E Networks channels and branded programming reach more than 300 million households in over 150 countries.
The firm’s new deal includes the sale of Dance Moms to TV2 (Norway), Lifestyle Network (Philippines), and in Hungary to FEM3, Pro 4 and Supertv2. Dance Moms Miami has also been picked up by TV2 (Norway) along with LEI (Italy). Pawn Stars has been sold to VTM (Belgium), GMA Networks (Philippines), in the Netherlands to SBS 6, Net 5 and Veronica, and in Hungary to FEM3, Pro 4 and Supertv2; Cajun Justice has been acquired by Canal D for French-speaking Canada, TV2 (Norway) and in Hungary to FEM3, Pro 4, and Supertv2.
In addition, a package of Lifetime Original Movies has been acquired by TF1 (France), TV2 (Norway), Nitro and Neox (Spain), and Ho Chi Minh City Television (Vietnam).
Commenting on the deal, inked just before the company takes a large presence at MIPCOM, Marielle Zuccarelli, Managing Director, International Content Sales for A+E Networks, said: “We are pleased to be announcing a breadth of worldwide sales fueled by our top-rated, character-driven series and our dynamic lineup of Lifetime Original Movies…MIPCOM is one of the most important markets of the year for us, and we look forward to continuing this success at the market and through year-end.”
