Xavier Gandon appointed director of programming at D8 and D17

Canal+ Group has appointed Xavier Gandon, 33, as Head of programming at channels D8 and D17, the FTA DTT outlets taken over from Bolloré Media.

Gandon joins from TF1 where he was formerly director of DTT channels TMC and NT1. He will report to Ara Aprikian, deputy CEO, in charge of editorial for free-to-air channels at Canal Plus Group. The new D8 channel is set to launch on 7 October.
