Cataluña may create a fee to finance TV3

The Catalan government is considering creating a subscription fee to finance its public broadcaster TV3.

As confirmed by the spokesman of the Generalitat, Francesc Homs, the Catalan executive, has hired Deloitte to submit a proposal for the fee. Homs stressed that the move is only a possibility and has denied that it has already taken a decision.

"We'll see," he said. "We commissioned study different options on how they have found solutions to management issues in the European context."
