iLink Extreme Receiver With Cardsharing Equivalent??

I recently purchased the iLink extreme satellite receiver. Is there something similar to cardsharing that I could use it for?

The receiver has a USB and ethernet cable slot but no slot for a card.

Someone told me that if I paid them $70, they could get me channels for the year.

I'm not sure I can trust them though and just wantedto do some research on my own.
