DM8000HD Software

First of all as a new member, Hello everyone
I have a DM8000HD clone with the Ferrari sim
running Nabilosat Black Hole v 0.12
my box takes forever to boot and a lot of the time when it is
auto updating the EPG it crashes and reboots

my question is is there a better more reliable software available
that can be installed on my box?

any constuctive help would be great

I have the same box. Just had to have the psu board changed. If you have cross epg set up, I think if you use the original rytec providers they are the ones that crash it. I only use the repackaged rytec (I think it is).

With regards to software, don't add too many skins and be very careful on the extra addon's, too many seem to crash it. I use dream elite as it was recommended, but I'm still not too happy with that image.

I bought a vu+ duo as I was getting sick of the 8000 clone crashing all the time. Personally, I think the vu+ is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better, you just don't get the choice of 4 x tuners.

Have tried several images on my DM8000 and found out Nemesis images seem to be the best. Easy to use and stable. Have never had a problem with them. If you install the newest Nemesis 2.6, make sure to install the second stage #84 first if it isn´t installed yet. Then reboot the box and afterwards install the image the usual way. If the ssl file is .nfi format install it the same way you install an image. It´s installed in no time. If it´s .ipk install it with the remote control from Addons Manager (blue button) > Manual package Install. When image update is available, install it with the remote control from Addons Manager > Software update.
