As part of plans to celebrate its seventh birthday, Bulgarian broadcaster TV7 has engaged Red Bee Media to create a series of new idents and fundamentally rebrand its portfolio.

TV7 asked Red Bee Media to help project its ‘passion and purposeful energy’ to the world, by rebranding its portfolio. Specifically, Red Bee generated a master brand identity, the identities for flagship news shows Good Morning Bulgaria and Good Evening Bulgaria, as well as children’s channel Super7. The brief was to create a new identity to differentiate TV7 from competitor channels, gain stature and stand for something unique that would make a real connection with its audiences.

Currently known for famous journalists on its news and current affairs shows, TV7 was keen to get more ‘big entertainment’ programming, like Dragon’s Den or The Apprentice, reach out to a younger audience and become known as an energetic, forward-facing channel. TV7 says that its USP is quality shows with substance that ask the questions other broadcasters would be afraid to.

Red Bee came up with what it calls the ‘TV that makes you feel more alive’ proposition with the aim to communicate that TV7 believes stimulating television needn’t compromise on information and integrity to be entertaining. The channel idents entitled Jump beautifully encapsulate ‘a moment when people feel alive’, showing that TV7 is made up of ‘people who are passionate about injecting colour into the greyness of everyday and who are ambitious enough to believe that change is possible’. The solution for the children’s channel, Super 7, was the creation of an adaptable 7 logo that is able to accessorise and change to enjoy every exciting adventure it finds himself on.
