Mediapro’s YouTube channel hits recordsIñaki Ferreras | 09-11-2012
Mediapro’s YouTube channel La Liga has achieved over a million visits less than two months since its launch.
The online channel has been a ‘huge success’, according to the company, which has over 18,000 subscribers. Last September Mediapro and YouTube reached an agreement to launch the pioneering channel as part of a strategy to offer videos of major football competitions. Spanish fans can now re-live the best moments of the day’s matches in HD quality just a few minutes after the end of the live games.
The channel’s catalogue has now grown to over 1,100 videos. Visitors can see reviews of all games played in the Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante and Copa del Rey, the goals and highlights, as well as press conferences and reports from the main shows on Gol TV including Goal Zap, Planet Axel, the League Show, World League, and Limited Edition.
The video of the match between RCD Mallorca and Real Madrid CF on 28 October has so far gained the most views in the least time, with 135,000 visits in just ten days.
