Promising no less than to “change the way you consume entertainment”, Riva has launched a social entertainment iPad app that showcases specifically selected videos and TV shows.

Utilising what is claimed to be a first-of-its-kind layout algorithm, the app plugs into social networks and by connecting to Facebook and Twitter and gains an insight into users’ interests. Riva then selects quality content for them to enjoy, and showcases it in “revolutionary” ways, instantly previewing articles, videos, photos and TV shows, with snippets and thumbnails displayed with a tap.
Riva says thatunlike apps that recommend content for a particular category, Riva recommends content specifically for users, making possible more accurate recommendations that don't miss out on content that users would likely miss if limited to categories. The app learns what people like and selects streams of it for them, and can drag and drop people into groups to filter streams. It also supports multiple users, each encrypted with an optional password.
