Portugal Telecom buys 25% of Sport TV

Portugal's main telco Portugal Telecom has bought into the sports channel Sport TV, purchasing 25% of shares.

Following the agreement, Sports TV will be owned by three shareholders: Sportinveste Multimédia (50%), Portugal Telecom (25%) and Zon Multimèdia (25%).

Sportinveste Multimédia is owned equally by Portugal Telecom and Sportinveste, and produces TV content for multimedia platforms. Portugal Television Advertising SA specializes in TV sporting rights management.
