M ost head coaches are dreaming to win just one national championship. Most don’t.
John Wooden took UCLA to the national championship for a 10th time in 1975. Wooden’s bunch had won its seventh consecutive championship in 1973, but their run was ended in 1974 by Norm Sloan and his NC State Wolfpack. However, behind MOP Richard Washington, the Bruins returned to the top of the mountain a year later.
What was life like then?
