I converted the build in Irdeto CAM on an DSR 6500 APCI-IR years ago (5~6 year back) to an (if I remember corret) Red Viaccess. Please note that later DSR sw is lacking the baypass function ie. no communication whit the CAM via RS-232. So use an old DSR sw...

I used a prog I found that communicated whit the DSR RS-232 port and a PC RS-232 port via null modem cable. The same cable is used to upd fw in the reciver. There exist sw for the rec on the net, most DSR xxxx will work, some early Fortec Star (those before the PowerPC core), and even an German relabeled one (sorry do not remember the name.)

I think the sw was dated back to 1999/2000 something, I then did a sucessfull upd at 13'E to latest Viacces sw via transponder.
Do not remember the transponder now, but there shall be one for Vaccess CAM upd...
The HW (from SCM) for Irdeto CAM and Viacces CAM in DSR 6500 -IR is the same, it's just the sw that differs btw. Irdeto and Viaccess.

Warning! There is no way to revert back to Irdeto from Viaccess...
Not that I know abouth...

The software I had was lost in an HD crash, will try to find it and then ul in this forum...

For me known sw:
- Various ver. of DSR sw. as mentioned earlier...
- PC upd soft for above DSR sw.
- TP Editor (txt -> bin)
- Cam upd soft (PC -> DSR -> inbuild CAM)
- Background replacer for DSR and Fortec Star.

Manhattan is mfg. by TYT, TYT brand was sold under the listed names and by that so most soft is working from one to the other...
