Why do you need fun card in humax 5400z? Can TPS, D+ & ... work without fun card?

No it does not without a funcard.
After a reboot or change of channel / provider your receiver resets. The ATR (Answer to Reset) code is stored on your Funcard (or other smart card)
This code does not change and that is why you can use an old programmed card. Remove your card and the ATR is not sent.
Does the fun card need to be programmed & with what file? the problem is i don't have a programmer.

The Funcard does have to be programmed but, as mentioned, the files do not have to be up-to-date as the ATR contained therein never changes.

Thanx m8 i need to get a programmer my fun card 4 isn't programmed at all.
One more thing when you do firmware update to humax do you erase humax or just upload the new firmware without erasing the older one?

but from time to time need a refresh
clear all humax , original firm than toh update
