M6 holds out against poor economic climate
Last year, the French group M6 demonstrated good resistance against the "deteriorated economic climate", posting consolidated revenue of 1.386 billion (down 2.4%) and a net profit of 140 million (down 6,3 %).
Consolidated profit from recurring operations (EBITA) totalled 218.5 million (down 10.8%), reflecting the decline in advertising revenues along with the M6 channel's investment in Euro 2012.
The group says it "outperformed the TV advertising market and recorded a decline of only 3% in advertising revenues" at 811 million, including M6 channel ad revenues reaching 647 million, down 4.3%.
Non-advertising revenues receded slightly in 2012 (down 1.6%) to 574.8 million.
