Ab Troja/Pacific Firmware 4.17 sind die Mechanismen zur Vorbeugung der Paarung von Sky Deutschland Smartkarten grundlegend geändert bzw. erweitert worden. Es werden standardmäßig nicht mehr EMMs nach deren Länge, sondern primär sämtliche potentiell gefährlichen EMMs vom Typ 07 geblockt. Zusätzlich wird das Pairing-EMM mit der Länge 119 (0x77) geblockt, welches Sky bei mehrfacher manueller Anforderung der Aktivierung über das Kundenportal an die entsprechende Karte schickt.
Damit sollten nun Karten-Erstaktivierungen sowie Sky Select PPV Aktivierungen wieder funktionieren.
