The leading Hungarian alternative telco Invitel has chosen RGB Networks’ transcoding technology to convert HD content from MPEG-2 to MPEG-4.
Implementation of the technology, known as Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG), is being undertaken by HFC Technics, an RGB partner and systems integrator.
Invitel is based in Budaörs and competes in a market in which Magyar Telekom (T-Home), UPC and Digi are the leading players.
RGB, on the other hand, provides its products to at least 400 cable, telco, satellite, OTT and mobile operators in over 40 countries.
