OK, here's the story. I have an eMETABOX-III receiver, which I believe is a clone. It has a "MX 29LV160BTTC-70" flash chip.

I downloaded a new bin called "download_for_usa.bin" and updated receiver with this bin via serial port. Killed my Metabox. Now when it is turned on it just had power light, but nothing on display. Pushing power button does nothing - still nothing on display.

So I connect my JTAG and try and update with that. First thing I get is "Error reading from IRD (DCU Peek)" error. So according to instructions I found somewhere else, you have to run the WALL program, leave it running, then run JKEYS again. Now receiver says "ON" on display. Flash erases OK then programs OK.

But receiver still doesn't work.

What I am not 100% sure about:
Latest bin file I am trying is called "eMetabox 3 Software Full ver.4.04.bin"
I use WALL to load this to receiver. After bin has loaded I use JKEYS to reload this same bin file? Do I have to now load this same bin by serial port using Filesender program? I have tried this, it says No Answer. I have tried turning receiver off, then on right after I start Send. Attached is instruction file I found and have been using.

Can someone help me out?

I found finally a handy Tool that I was searching for a long time.
It can read/write keys directly from/to the BIN-file, allows to change the picture, calculates the crc checksum... it´s a Genuine Swiss Army Knife to modify metabox firmware (incl. importing keys from softcam.key files)

I had the signal problem too,I dont understand french but if you had loaded wrong full soft and now you dont have signal(not green),load this soft first and after that dreamsoft or metadream.I hope this will help.
