Comcast is getting into the transactional video-on-demand business, according to reports.
The No 1 TV operator in the world plans to sell movies for download and streaming through its set-top boxes and via the website, according to Reuters, beginning as soon as the end of the year.
Details are skimpy, but the offering will start off with a range of mostly movies from Hollywood studios, with some TV shows mixed in, a source told the news wire.
